The Tyler Public Library will be hosting a program on small business startup March 25 in partnership with Donna Broom of the Broom Law Firm and the Innovation Pipeline. The program is from 1 to 3 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium, at the library at 201 S. College Ave. Broom will host a short lecture on small business startup and then conduct a come-and-go question and answer session.
“We hope those attending will leave the program with a sense of where they want to go with their business idea,” said Circulation Supervisor Ashley Taylor. “Hopefully, they walk away with a fuller knowledge of what starting a business may entail in the legal sense.”
Knowledge on information sources will be provided in conjunction with Innovation Pipeline literature.
“Like any small business owner, I experienced the pressures of building a company from the ground up, developing a business plan, balancing the books, meeting payroll and building a customer base,” said Broom. “Knowing the legal nuances and all the resources available at the beginning of the process will save time and money, both of which is limited to the person getting started with their small business.”
