The City of Tyler’s Glass Recreation Center Summer Camp returns to provide children a space to play, learn and build lifelong friendships in a safe, supervised environment.
Registration for the camp opens April 3 for children ages 6 to 10, city officials announced Tuesday.
The program includes fun-filled activities such as sports, games, swimming, arts and crafts, an education enrichment program and special events. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day of the camp by the East Texas Food Bank Summer Food Program.
The camp will begin June 6 and run through Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday . The cost is $100 per child for nine weeks. Partial payment is due at registration and all fees must be paid before June 7. Space is limited to 75 campers and will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
A mandatory meeting for parents of participating children is set for 6 p.m. June 5 at Glass Recreation Center, at 501 W. 32nd St. There, parents will meet camp leaders, discuss camp rules and receive a camp activity calendar.
