Experience an evening of style, elegance and African-inspired culture starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Potpourri House, Suite 300, at 3320 Troup Hwy.

At Jaunty Juncture, Faizah Morowa Wraps founders Toyia Jordan and Chemeka Bristol demonstrate head wrapping techniques.

The head wrap carries with it symbols that are steeped in history and ancient African culture, which communicated status in the community and a place in a person’s life. Today in the United States, it serves as a fashion statement and/or a protective covering for tresses.

Saturday’s event features a style show by  Bojax Allen. Guests will also dine and enjoy African dance and neo-soul music by Taylor Morgan.

Photography will be provided by Destini Jordan. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.
